If you have a previous version of a product installed, you can use the Upgrade. This is usually the route to follow since an upgrade will not destroy any templates you have created.
If installing for the first time you will need to create a database. We suggest you install and configure MySql then execute dbVetTux. You can choose to populate the database with the sample backup sample.vbk.

To install a product open a terminal window and run a command similar to sudo sh ./TuxDiner-Upgrade-1.1.i686.run
Remember you will need the to be in the same folder as where the .run is located. You may also choose to use a absolute path.
Please also install qt3 and qt3-mysql plugin(recommended) and qt3 assistant, On Ubuntu you would use apt-get install for the following packages. libqt3-mt, libqt3-mt-mysql, qt3-doc, polymer
On Suse(recommended) simply run Yast, choose Install Software, search for qt3 and click the obvious entries.
