Email us for a database upgrade script if required, registered users get this script when they receive a new release announcement.
If you have a previous version of a product installed, you can use the Upgrade. This is usually the route to follow since an upgrade will not destroy any templates you have created.
If installing for the first time you will need to create a database. We suggest you install and configure MySql then execute dbVetTux. You can choose to populate the database with the sample backup sample.vbk.

Some mysql releases are not compatible with the way permissions are set up so its possible you will need to add access by hand or using a tool like mysql-administrator.
For example in mysql ..
grant all privileges on TuxShop.* to 'TuxShop'@'localhost' identified by 'tux';
Printers in older Ubuntu distributions ..
sudo ln -s /var/run/cups/printcap /etc/printcap
